Jim focuses on solving complex insurance coverage problems through negotiation, litigation, and trial. He has counseled and represented insurers in a broad range of disputes. Currently, Jim’s practice is focused on coverage issues relating to professional liability policies, energy liability policies, construction defect wrap programs, facultative reinsurance, and first party property policies, as well as the defense of bad faith litigation. He has experience with many lines of marine and non-marine insurance including facultative reinsurance issues, sabotage and terrorism, war risk, directors and officers liability, employee infidelity, exploration and production, jewelers’ block and specie, cargo, protection and indemnity (coverage and defense), and game show indemnity.
